ELMSDALE COOPERATIVE MINISTRY
Who We Are

Who We Are. . .
We are the Elmsdale Cooperative Ministry! We are two congregations within The United Church of Canada. We share a minister and support each other's ministry and mission.
"Cooperation is at the heart of community. We strive to nurture cooperative partnerships in our churches and in the wider community."
As two congregations who share a minister, our worship services—while holding common elements—are somewhat different. Regardless of whether you decide to attend worship at Riverview United in Elmsdale or Nine Mile River United in Nine Mile River, everyone is welcome to attend and experience our worship services.
What kind of churches are we?
We are part of The United Church of Canada, the largest mainline Protestant Christian denomination in Canada, founded in 1925, with churches from coast to coast. To learn more about The United Church of Canada, click here.
What do we believe?
"We are not alone. We live in God's world."
These are words from "A New Creed" of The United Church of Canada. A New Creed is a guiding statement of faith for Elmsdale Cooperative Ministry. Read the full statement here.
Come as You Are
It doesn’t matter if you have no religion, are of another religion, or if you’ve simply never been to church before. You will be greeted warmly, treated with dignity, and your privacy will be respected. No one will try to "convert" you to Christianity or to our particular form of it. Although some Christian churches may be into that sort of thing, we simply aren’t.
Parking and Accessibility
Both churches are wheelchair accessible and have plenty of parking!
Please note: The washroom at NMR is not wheelchair accessible.
